Happy Monday!
Autumn is the one season, which allows you to go all out when it comes to accessorising your outfits. Hats, scarves, gloves, gilets, ponchos are all fun pieces to add to your wardrobe this time of year, however scarves are my fundamental basics in autumn. Each year I add more to my collection, I currently have a nice collection of designer scarves and now I’m expanding my collection with two new additions.
Timeless Accessory
The one thing I love about styling scarves is that they never go out of style. It doesn’t matter what brand, style, material or colour you opt for, you know it will remain as a staple piece in your wardrobe for years to come. An item that can be handed down throughout generations (as long as it’s in good condition of course). It’s also a great item that can help you build a capsule wardrobe (especially if you invest in quality).
Winter Warmer
It’s an obvious observation but yes scarves really do keep you warm in autumn/winter and the thicker the better in my opinion. Two of the best materials to invest in are wool and fleece. The first scarf I’m styling today is a tartan print scarf from JustFab, it caught my attention because it wasn’t the traditional tartan print colours. This one is more feminine and easier to style in my opinion because of the splash of pink. It can be worn as a traditional scarf, a wrap or even a poncho. Not to mention it’s heavyweight, thick and incredibly soft to touch. A perfect cosy scarf to keep you warm this winter.
Endless Varieties
No matter what your style or taste may be, with thousands of colours, prints and materials to choose from you’re guaranteed to find a scarf to suit your style. Plus there’s nothing better than a beautiful print scarf to add a final touch to a plain outfit. The second scarf I’m styling today is from This Way to Heaven, a London based premium brand who originated from the Chelsea Arts Club. They have a huge variety of sizes and designs to choose from and all the designs are from famous artists. It’s very lightweight, which makes it ideal for autumn and spring and great as a layering piece. I opted for the cotton voile oversized hawk design, which instantly caught my attention with it’s bold and colourful patterns. Check out the brand if you’re looking to add a premium scarf to your collection this year, it’s worth the investment.
