Happy Wednesday guys!
I know it’s been a while since I last updated my blog (one month and a half to be precise) but truth be told, I briefly fell out of love for blogging, Instagram and YouTube in 2017, I stupidly let other less important matters get in the way of my focus, which resulted in a decline of content. Also I never once owned a DSLR camera throughout my blogging journey and was getting increasingly annoyed with relying on photographers to shoot blog posts and always using my iphone 7 to shoot Instagram posts. I may write a separate post about this in more detail in the future. Anyway long story short, I finally decided to invest in a DSLR last week (Canon 800D) and I am absolutely blown away with the results! Definitely my best investment of the year so far! So expect to see more regular content coming up!
No matter how hard you try, you cannot escape from inspired fashion trends off the runway. Everything from handbags, shoes, prints, fabrics and textures are inspired from the latest offerings by the hottest fashion designers. Truth be told I only realised the impact that runway fashion had on high-street fashion when I started blogging. Before then, I was absolutely clueless!
You all know about my obsession with luxury accessories but does that translate into clothing as well? The answer? NO! I neither have the funds or the desire to fill my wardrobe up with designer clothing when the turnover in fashion trends is so high. No matter how in demand a certain trend is, I guarantee you can find a dupe (similar item) on the high-street for a fraction of the price.
I’ve had a lengthy obsession with Dolce and Gabbana for quite a few years but haven’t made the leap to invest in anything yet and if I did, it would definitely be the dreamy Sicily handbag! Since I can’t be a #D&Ggirl just yet, I decided to opt for the next best thing, an inspired Dolce and Gabbana print dress from Light in the box. The first dress I’m wearing today is a dupe (a very good dupe if I say so myself) of the blue and yellow majolica print. This dress is a real summer head turner, perfect for any upcoming formal occasions and best of all it retails for under £25!

The second dress is another amazing find from Light in the box, a beautiful Needle and Thread dupe! This sheer blue embroidered maxi dress really does have the wow factor! When I was shooting this dress, I was turning heads left, right and centre! It really is a stunning statement piece, one that would go down very well at a wedding or a formal occasion such as the polo. Once again it’s a bargain, retailing for under £35!

So the next time you’re drooling over a ridiculously over-priced designer dress/skirt/top etc, think about an affordable alternative. Trust me you won’t regret it!
