Happy Friday loves!
If you follow me on Snapchat or Insta Stories, you’ll know just how many beauty products I receive on a weekly basis and I’m grateful for each and every one of them. My intentions are always to review all the products (good and bad) but since going part-time I’ve realised how unrealistic this actually is! The simple truth is, there just isn’t enough time to review each and every product, therefore I’ve decided to share my current favourite skincare products with you.
Sesderma C-VIT Facial Cream
Following attending a Sesderma event back in the summer, I got the chance to try out their new C-VIT anti-aging face cream. The C-VIT collection from the Spanish brand claims to restore vitality, luminosity, firmness, smoothness and elasticity of the skin. The texture of this moisturiser feels perfect (big statement I know) but honestly it’s not too watery and it’s not too thick either, just a perfect texture that feels good on the skin. The best part of this moisturiser is definitely the scent. If your don’t like fruity scents, you might want to stay away from this face cream. However if you’re like me, you’ll love this product as it smells like a bag of oranges. I would describe it as a similar scent to the Jo Malone orange blossom fragrance.
Vivderma is a completely new brand to me, in fact it probably is to you as well. There’s nothing I love more than discovering new brands so when I was sent a few products to try, I was quite intrigued. Firstly I love the packaging, the dark purple packaging really caught my attention, so I instantly knew the quality would impress me as well. The brand offers skin solutions for today’s challenging environment, leaving your skin looking it’s best from the very first use.
Balancing Cleansing Cream
My first reaction to this product was ‘wow this is bloody strong!’ The scent is very strong and will probably be overwhelming for some, luckily it didn’t bother me too much, it was just a surprise. Secondly, I noticed this product actually did deliver what it promised ‘a skin solution’ this was definitely the case for me. I always remove my make-up with cleansing wipes, I’ve never used a cleansing cream before so this certainly came in handy and solved my problems when I ran out of wipes one evening. The cream is so easy to apply on your skin, I apply it with my hands and rub in circular motions to remove my make-up and then wash it all off with warm water. Such an easy process to remove your daily make-up.
Comforting Gellee Cleanser
This product is effectively the same as the cleansing cream, they both actively remove make-up, dirt and oil. The only difference is the texture. The texture is a thick, heavyweight oil. Definitely not something I’m used to putting on my skin and truth be told it can end up as one giant mess. I assumed it would work better at removing stubborn/hard to shift make-up (eye make-up in particular) but unfortunately it doesn’t. I use it all over my face, then use my MAC cleanse-off oil for my eyes. Don’t worry, this product doesn’t leave your face feeling like a grease ball, it actually turns into a milk, similar to a regular cleansing oil.
If I had to choose between one I’d go for the balancing cleansing cream but both are fabulous products!
Cloud 9 Skin Solutions
Another brand I had never heard of before, another brand that claims to solve your troublesome skin problems. Or could it be that this brand does what it says on the tin? Well firstly I’m definitely impressed with all the awards that brand has won over the years (7 and counting) and they have a great range of products targeting specific concerns such as varicose veins, scars, dry skin and much more.
Tranquillity Smoothing Cream
You might have already seen my first impressions of these products over on my Insta Stories, I was pleasantly surprised when I squeezed the cream onto my hand to find a bright prink (my favourite colour FYI) coloured cream. I don’t think I’ve ever used a cream that wasn’t neutral before so I absolutely love this product! Some may find it a little gimmicky but I love it! It wasn’t until today I noticed that the formula is meant to be applied on the face but to be honest I find it a little too oily to apply it on my face so I use it as a hand cream instead. I also think the larger size would make a perfect body moisturiser as it really does soften the skin.
Skin Rehab Scar Minimising Cream
Once again the packaging is adorable and I absolutely love the bright green (although looks yellow to me) formula. The colour is meant to help reduce the redness and act as a mask for the scar. The scent is fairly strong and smells a little industrial to be honest so it’s best to use this sparingly. I’ve been testing it out on my scars for the past couple of weeks and honestly haven’t noticed any difference. This could one of two reasons, firstly my scars are decades old (from school time) and secondly I have dark skin, which means I have no redness to begin with. Perhaps this product works better on newer scars and on lighter skin. Despite this, I still love the formula and of course the vibrant colour and will probably end up using it as a regular moisturiser.
Are you familiar with any of the brands mentioned?
