Happy Wednesday loves!
If I had to choose one key physical feature that I pride myself on, it’s my skin! Thankfully I’ve never once had an issue with my skin, even throughout my teenage years. Never experienced severe spots, acne, rashes etc and spent a large portion of my life never wearing an ounce of make-up. It’s only within recent years I’ve started noticing enlarged pores and clogged pores around my t-zone, so when I received the opportunity to test out the PMD device, how could I resist? Especially when there are professional salons charging big bucks to perform microdermabrasion, so if you can do it yourself at home then why not?
The Personal Microderm is a small handheld device that removes the dead skin cells on the top layer of your skin, encouraging your skin to produce new healthier cells. Therefore leaving your skin’s surface, tone and texture visibly improved. Best of all, now all your skincare products you invest in will be 20% more effective as they’ll be absorbed easier into the skin.
The device comes with an incredibly useful instructional DVD, where you’ll learn all about the skincare benefits and how to correctly use the device. It comes with 7 interchangeable discs, 4 for the face and 3 for the body (yes this device can be used on your body too). Each disc has different level of abrasion, starting with the white training disc and advancing to the red disc.
I’ve begun using my PMD once a week, usually at the weekends during my pamper session. I start by washing and cleansing my face, you must have a clean palette before using the device. I’m currently using the white training disc, as I’m still a beginner. I hold my skin firmly and pull the device across my skin, using upward motions. It’s important to never go over the same area twice to avoid irritating the skin. Finally I apply moisturiser to nourish my skin. I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my skin over the past few weeks, my pores have shrunk and even my make-up (specifically my concealer) seems to apply easier and smoother on my skin.
The PMD retails for £150 and can be purchased online. Although it’s a little pricey, it’s definitely worth the investment if you’re having skin issues. A purchase you definitely won’t regret.
