As you may or may not know I’m heading to Dubai on Friday and I am over the moon with excitement! Dubai is known as the mecca of shopping so god only knows what I’ll return home with (probably a huge credit card bill!) This will be my first trip away since developing this blog so I’m excited to create some travel posts during the next upcoming weeks. Meanwhile I thought I’d share my travel essentials with you all.
You must all be sick of the sight of Triangl bikini’s by now lol. I do not know one blogger who doesn’t own one of these beauties. I purchased mine in the ‘Winnie Ruby Caparicorn’ style and cannot wait to get full use of it next week. Of course any type of swimwear will do on holiday, whether it’s a bikini or a swimsuit. As long as you feel comfortable in it, that’s all that matters.
Sunglasses are literally my favourite holiday accessory! I own so many pairs, it’s always difficult to decide which style to bring and how I can co-ordinate each pair to each outfit. I’ve decided to restrict myself to 3 pairs for this trip and yes they’re all Ray-ban!
Whenever I travel abroad I like to explore the entire city, which means early mornings and late nights. I’m far from a beach girl, I like to get stuck in and do every tour/excursion available. After all you don’t know when you’ll be back? This means I’m restricted to nothing but sandals, which is cool as they are incredibly comfortable but not always the most stylish. I’ll most probably be living in my Birkenstocks, Michael Kors and flip flops for the duration of this holiday. A recent discovery that I love are Ipanema, a Brazilian shoe brand.
One of my favourite holiday preparations is shopping for miniature toiletry products. I’m a sucker for cute mini packaging so I tend to go a little overboard when it comes to toiletries. The struggle I have is what on earth will the hotel provide? So I like to have everything covered just incase! Toothpaste, mouthwash, shampoo, conditioner, hair spray, soap, face wipes etc.
I never have and never will be book worm, my concentration span for reading is just non-existent. So whenever I travel I make sure to take full advantage of my time away by reading an e-book of some sort. It’s a great way to kill time on the plane, beach, poolside etc. I really love the Kindle App and have decided to read ‘I married a billionaire’ for my reading entertainment. Of course fashion magazines are a MUST! Need I say more?
I hope this post has given you some inspiration for your upcoming holidays.
